Hillcrest Children’s Home is a private Christian residential child care
facility established in 1944 as an Assemblies of God ministry to abused and neglected children.
Restoring America’s Broken Children
- Home for the Homeless
- Love for the Unloved
- Security for the Neglected
Some arrive frightened and frustrated; others, undernourished and
neglected. They have been removed from home because of derelict
parents, or have suffered the heartbreak of a home shattered by
divorce, or have tragically lost one or both parents.
These are the children who come to Hillcrest Children’s Home. It
takes time, good care, and warm Christian love to erase the effects of
these tragic experiences.
The majority of referrals come from pastors, friends of Hillcrest,
and relatives of hurting children. Boys and girls come to Hillcrest
having experienced abuse, neglect, abandonment, or the divorce or death
of their parents. The caring environment at Hillcrest is designed to
demonstrate love to these broken children.
Children, grouped by age and gender, are provided a homelike
atmosphere with balanced diets, proper clothing, and medical and dental
checkups to ensure their physical well-being. Daily devotions, chapel
services, and regular church attendance minister to their spiritual
needs.
